In the column below you’ll find brief explanations of the types of lenses available to you. You may not be aware of this information and these options, of which any one could increase your comfort seeing or your sight for the better.

emPOWER! lenses are electronically operated and the latest technology in eyewear. emPOWER! are lenses that activate with the swipe of your finger or a slight tilt of your head to instantly focus on whatever you happen to be looking at. Incredible and hard to believe? YES! So much so, that we are dedicating a complete page on this site to emPOWER!

Transition lenses can be inserted into any frame in virtually any prescription. Molecules in the lenses are activated by the sun and expand to a darkened hue. Once out of the sun, transition lenses deactivate. The molecules shrink and the lenses revert to clear.

No glare lenses can be inserted into any frame in virtually any prescription. Reducing the glare from lights of any kind, no glare lenses considerably increase the comfort of your night driving. They can also reduce eye fatigue by minimizing the reflections from your computer, smart phones and over head lights. No glare lenses come with the added advantage of being almost invisible to others because they are so clear and non-reflective.

Polarized lenses can be inserted into most any frame in almost all prescriptions. Polarized lenses block the blinding reflective glare from the suns. They create a filter though the glare. Polarized lens are always dark and come in a variety of colors. They offer 100% UV protection. Polarized lenses enhance your visual acuity, color contrast and comfort.

Progressive lenses contain multi prescriptions offering close-up to distance and correction anywhere in between. They are a great way to see clearly at any distance, and you may get them with transition lenses, no glare and even polarized.

Drivewear lenses merge transitions and polarization into one pair of sunglasses. They provide 3 shades for the best color contrast, visual acuity and comfort for the lighting situation. Drivewear lenses are always tinted and change, barely noticeable by the wearer, when exposed whether in UV light, or overcast, daylight or bright light conditions. Polarized, they always cut any blinding glare; all adding comfort to your driving.

Chemistrie clip-on can give you the ability to have a polarized, magnetic clip so seamless that no one will know you are wearing one. Once the clip-on nears your eyeglass frame, it swiftly moves into place, creating polarized sunglasses. Also available, using the same technology, are 3-D lens clip-ons for viewing movies. And more, there are clip-ons to accommodate reading or computer use.

Trivex lenses are made from a new material that is much more durable then its predecessors. They are lite weight and impact resistant with great optical quality. Extremely tough when Triven lenses are inserted into a rimless frame, they are so durable they will withstand impacts more than any other lens material. Trivex is available in many different lens styles and designs making it available to virtually anyone.

Free form lens designs, with the aid of computers, are custom made based on your requirements that include your prescription, eye placement, frame dimensions, eye movement, visual needs, your life style and job, as well as how you will actually see through your new glasses.

Sports eye protection from Liberty Sports ”More than 600,000 eye injuries related to sports and recreation occur each year. Over 80% of children do not utilize protective eyewear in situations that represent an eye injury. Every 13 minutes a person with a sports related eye injury visits an ER and more than 90% of all eye injuries can be prevented with the use of appropriate protective eyewear. The American Academies of pediatrics and ophthalmology, and the American Public Health Association advise the use of protective eyewear. Baseball, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse and soccer are just a few of the sports that should have protective eyewear.”
